Frames

1. Scan or Download a texture from the Texture Page and save it as .PSD. This file will be refered as a "Displacement Map".

2. On a new layer, create a box that will define your frame using the Rectangular Marquee Tool and fill it with a color.

3. (Optional) Remove bits and pieces using a soft-edge eraser or Blur the frame using the Gaussian Blur.

4. Use >Filter>Distort>Displace (you can also use any .PSD texture file - found in the >Presets>Textures folder)

5. A dialogue box will pop-up. Choose your "Displacement Map" (the PSD file)

6. Hold the CTRL and click on the frame layer. (you should see the marching ants around it)

7. Make the frame layer invisible (click on the eye)

8. Select the photo layer (you should still see the marching ants on it)

9. Invert the selection (CTRL+SHIFT+I).

10. Delete the selection.

11. (Optional) You can create a unique frame using multiple layers created from different textures.
