Channel Mixer for PSE

Create amazing black and white images with a technique that will get you similar results in Elements!

You will need Virtual Photographer plugin for this tutorial

1. Create 2 extra duplicate of your image.

2. Apply Virtual Photographer on the three layers using each channel. Choose the Default Black and White settings and...

3. Pick the Red Filter for your first Layer.

4. Apply the filter again on the second Layer using the Green Filter.

4. Apply the filter a third time on the last Layer using the Blue Filter.

5. Chances are that one Layer may give you the "perfect" Black & White image or you may want to tweak the opacity of the top 2 Layers.

Try various blending Modes such as Darken, Lighten, Soft Light to produce great looking B&W images.

You can alsomask/delete selective areas on the photo for even better results!
