c) Paste the image

you now have the basic shape for your kaleidoscope.

7. Go to Canvas Size (>Image>Canvas Size) and increase the width to 200 percent (make sure to anchor to the left if your basic shape is on the same side as the one one my example)

8. Make a duplicate of your shape, Flip it Horizontally and place it on the right side of your image.

9. Merge the two Layers (CTRL+E)

10. Go to Canvas Size (>Image>Canvas Size) and increase the height to 200% (make sure to anchor to the center bottom)

11. Make a duplicate of your shape, Flip it Vertically and place it at the top of your image.

12. Merge the two Layers (CTRL+E)

13. Once again make a duplicate and rotate it by 90°.

You could also make the original piece into a 22.5° traingle to create even more reflections.
