Quick patterns
With
Photoshop 7 making patterns for your backgrounds has never been
that easy. |
| |
|
From
any image or layer choose >Filter>Pattern Maker
(Alt+Shift+Ctrl+x)
|
 |
| Drag
a rectangular marquee on the area you would like to use to generate
your pattern.
Click on "Generate"
and Photoshop will create a pattern based on your selection.
- You can repeat this as often as you'd like, until you get
the "perfect" pattern.
- You can modify the size of your pattern, the smoothness and
the level of details your pattern will have.
- If you are not happy with your selection, hold down the "Alt"
key and the Cancel button will change to "reset".
|
 |
| Once
you have made your choice hit the "save preset patterns"
to save your pattern. (you can save as many as you want) |
 |
Back
in Photoshop you'll be able to use the newly created pattern
with the "fill" option or the paint bucket
.
***
If you don't have PS7, you can do this using the good old "offset"
trick. |
