Clouds, Fog, Haze, Smog or Smoke simulator


1. Open your image
.

2. Apply the Clouds Filter on a new Layer.

With PSE change the Layer Mode to Screen and adjust the Opacity

3. Double Click on the Layer Image or go to Blending Options via the Layer Filter Menu .

4. By moving the black arrows, you will assign a transparency to the dark values. To create a "range" for your transparency, Hold the ALT key and Drag one half of the triangle...

5. You should get something like this... Go back to the Blending options until you are satisfied with your mixture.

6. To refine your smoke effects you can delete a feathered selection. You can also create multiple layers of fog (with different transparency) to add depth to your image.
